Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inspirational leadership and ensure excellence in teaching and learning across the Spanish department.
• Develop and implement robust curriculum plans and enrichment activities to enhance student engagement and achievement.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing targeted interventions to support all learners, including those with SEND.
• Lead and inspire professional development within the department to maintain high standards of teaching practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school and other institutions to share best practices and improve outcomes.
• Maintain open communication with parents, carers, and feeder schools to support student progress and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Spanish.
• Demonstrable experience in leading a department and improving student outcomes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and innovative teaching practices.

Preferred

• Experience in developing and delivering A-Level and GCSE Spanish curricula.
• Familiarity with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation for diverse learners.
• Experience in managing faculty resources and leading school improvement initiatives.
