Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Music teachers to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with the school’s educational vision.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development among staff.
  • Promote student engagement through a vibrant extra-curricular music programme.
  • Work closely with colleagues, students, and parents to enhance the school community.
  • Ensure alignment with the school’s strategic goals and accreditation standards.
  • Provide leadership in music performance, composition, and instrumental instruction.
  • Encourage creative and innovative approaches to music education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold a BEd or Bachelor's degree in Music with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of teachers.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding learning and teaching.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A growth mindset with a focus on reflection and solution-based approaches.
  • Commitment to contributing to the school’s extra-curricular and community-based events.

Preferred

  • Experience in international education settings.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England and UAE Ministry of Education standards.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Leadership experience in a large school or educational institution.
