The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of Music to join its dynamic team. This role is central to delivering high-quality music education at KS4 and KS5, and contributing to the school’s enriched curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students and fostering a love of music.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality music education at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative music curricula.
• Support students in achieving outstanding results in GCSE and A level music examinations.
• Contribute to the school’s enriched curriculum through extra-curricular music activities and initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to enhance student learning and development.
• Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students where appropriate.
• Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent with exceptional subject knowledge.
• At least 3 years’ experience of the National Curriculum for England.
• Experience teaching Music at KS4 and KS5.
• A proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.
• A mindset that believes all students have the potential for top performance.

Preferred

• Experience contributing to an enriched curriculum programme.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an international school environment.
• Familiarity with UK exam systems and assessment practices.
