Head of Music required at a progressive school. Lead the Music Department with passion and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 with a focus on high-quality classroom delivery.
- Lead and develop the Music Department, ensuring it continues to grow and thrive.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to enhance the learning experience for students.
- Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that encourages creativity and musical excellence.
- Support the development of students' talents through extracurricular activities and performances.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and overall wellbeing of students.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff within the department.
- Maintain high standards of teaching and learning across all levels of the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree with an appropriate teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching Music at Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5.
- Strong classroom management and delivery skills.
- Commitment to the pastoral and nurturing ethos of the school.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or managing a team.
- Ability to offer a second subject.
- Experience with music performance and extracurricular activities.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
