Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
  • Support the development of the Hospitality Department through innovative teaching methods and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as part of the school’s commitment to a nurturing and supportive ethos.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments and staff to enhance the overall student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant degree and a recognized teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s pastoral and academic ethos.

Preferred

  • Practical experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience teaching a second subject.
  • A passion for innovation and continuous professional development.
  • Experience with vocational learning and extracurricular activities.
