Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and personal growth.
- Support the development of the Hospitality Department through innovative teaching methods and collaboration with colleagues.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students as part of the school’s commitment to a nurturing and supportive ethos.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments of student progress and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and a recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in teaching within a school or educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the school’s pastoral and academic ethos.
Preferred
- Practical experience in the hospitality industry.
- Experience teaching a second subject.
- A passion for innovation and continuous professional development.
- Experience with vocational learning and extracurricular activities.
