Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics to students across Year 9 to Year 13 with a focus on inspiring intellectual curiosity.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Support the ongoing development of the Physics department through collaboration and shared best practices.
  • Contribute to the pastoral, boarding, and co-curricular life of the school.
  • Encourage high academic standards and a culture of excellence in the classroom.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Physics education and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and staff training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physics education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High expectations and a dynamic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in both independent and state sectors.
