Key Responsibilities:
- Support young people with autism in a variety of learning and therapeutic activities
- Assist with creative and hands-on learning experiences, including arts and crafts, cooking, and animal therapy
- Help deliver personalized lessons tailored to the needs of each student
- Encourage and support students during outdoor and community-based learning activities
- Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students in a safe and structured environment
- Maintain a positive and uplifting atmosphere that promotes student engagement and well-being
- Contribute to a team-oriented culture that values creativity, compassion, and innovation
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A genuine passion for working with young people with autism
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- A positive, person-centred approach to support and teaching
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students
Preferred
- Previous experience working with young people with autism or special needs
- Experience in educational or therapeutic support settings
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and related support strategies
- Confidence in delivering creative and interactive learning activities
