The Opportunity:

As the Head of Netball, you will lead and inspire a dynamic Netball programme, supporting students at all levels and contributing to a thriving Sports Department. This role offers the chance to shape the future of Netball within a school renowned for its sporting and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and coach Netball to a very high standard, inspiring pupils from beginners to elite performers.
  • Lead and manage a team of Netball teachers and coaches, contributing to the wider Sports Department.
  • Oversee all fixtures, ensuring effective scheduling and communication across the school.
  • Support and lead residential sports trips (UK and overseas), and contribute to training sessions before school, at lunchtimes, after school, and at weekends.
  • Develop strong links with local clubs, Netball academies, and external partners.
  • Teach across the PE curriculum, including football, athletics, tennis, or cricket.
  • Maintain excellent records of pupil progress and uphold high standards of safeguarding and communication.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong playing or coaching experience at county, regional, or national level.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 coaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Netball and other sports at a senior level.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Physical Education.
  • Expertise to lead one of the school’s major summer sports.
  • Strong ICT skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
