The Opportunity:
As the Head of Netball, you will lead and inspire a dynamic Netball programme, supporting students at all levels and contributing to a thriving Sports Department. This role offers the chance to shape the future of Netball within a school renowned for its sporting and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and coach Netball to a very high standard, inspiring pupils from beginners to elite performers.
- Lead and manage a team of Netball teachers and coaches, contributing to the wider Sports Department.
- Oversee all fixtures, ensuring effective scheduling and communication across the school.
- Support and lead residential sports trips (UK and overseas), and contribute to training sessions before school, at lunchtimes, after school, and at weekends.
- Develop strong links with local clubs, Netball academies, and external partners.
- Teach across the PE curriculum, including football, athletics, tennis, or cricket.
- Maintain excellent records of pupil progress and uphold high standards of safeguarding and communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong playing or coaching experience at county, regional, or national level.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 coaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Netball and other sports at a senior level.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Physical Education.
- Expertise to lead one of the school’s major summer sports.
- Strong ICT skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
