The Opportunity:

A Sports Coach - Strength and Conditioning is needed to support the school’s elite sports programme, working with EPP+ pupils and contributing to the Games programme. This role offers the chance to develop coaching skills and make a meaningful impact on student athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strength and conditioning programmes for elite sports teams.
  • Support and coach EPP+ pupils across a range of sports, including football, hockey, cricket, and netball.
  • Deliver coaching sessions during the Games programme and assist with fixtures as required.
  • Promote physical development, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students.
  • Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall sporting experience.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to student athletes.
  • Assist with organisational and administrative tasks related to sports events.
  • Contribute to the school’s sporting culture and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong physical ability and experience in at least one of the core sports (football, hockey, cricket, netball).
  • Demonstrated coaching or playing experience at a competitive level.
  • Commitment to working with young people and a passion for sports development.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings during the sports season.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work in a school environment and support the school’s mission.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in strength and conditioning or sports coaching.
  • Knowledge of sports science principles and training techniques.
  • Experience with youth development and athlete welfare.
  • Familiarity with coaching frameworks and performance analysis.
  • Ability to contribute to the school’s wider sporting and academic community.
