The Opportunity:

The Head of School will lead a warm, inclusive, and bilingual community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and the promotion of the school's ethos of "Bilingualism for everybody."

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring high standards of education and behaviour.
  • Uphold the school's commitment to bilingual learning, with a focus on German language education for all pupils.
  • Translate Trust and Executive strategy into consistent, high-quality practice and outcomes.
  • Promote the values of Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence across the school.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all pupils, staff, and families.
  • Support and develop staff performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Executive Headteacher to achieve strategic goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with the school community, parents, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in school leadership, ideally as a Head of School or equivalent.
  • Strong track record in delivering high standards of education and student achievement.
  • Commitment to bilingual education and inclusive practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational organisation.
  • Familiarity with the values of Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence.
  • Experience in curriculum development and implementation.
  • Knowledge of German language education and bilingual strategies.
