The Opportunity:

A School Cleaner is needed to ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of allocated areas across a school’s internal and external premises. This role is essential in maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean internal and external premises, including Boarding House, Sports Halls, and Pavilions
• Carry out regular deep cleaning and washing of bedding
• Maintain a stock of cleaning materials and ensure all areas are well-stocked
• Assist with general maintenance and tidying tasks as required
• Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to all tasks and priorities
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are consistently met
• Work efficiently and effectively within allocated hours and areas
• Support the school’s mission by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Reliable and efficient with a strong work ethic
• Experience in cleaning, preferably in an educational or similar setting
• Ability to work flexible hours, including during term time and school holidays
• Proactive and adaptable with a 'can-do' attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness

Preferred

• Experience with large premises or schools
• Familiarity with health and safety protocols
• Good communication skills
• Previous experience in a team environment
