The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Head of Science to lead and teach Science to Years 4 to 8, contributing to the academic and extra-curricular life of a dynamic and forward-thinking school. This role offers the opportunity to shape the science curriculum and inspire a new generation of learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and teach lessons tailored to the educational needs of students
• Assess, record and report on student progress in line with school guidelines
• Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the academic and social development of assigned students
• Participate in professional development meetings and school activities
• Carry out administrative duties in accordance with the Staff Handbook
• Uphold and follow the Staff Code of Conduct
• Contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme
• Assist with the teaching of Games each term and attend matches
• Fulfil one daily duty per week and participate in rotated weekend duties

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A graduate with relevant subject knowledge
• Experience teaching Science to Years 4 to 8
• Ability to lead and manage a department
• Commitment to innovative teaching methods
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience in a boarding school environment
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities
• Experience with Public School Scholarship and Common Entrance preparation
• Leadership experience within a school setting
