Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that promote student achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Support the school’s commitment to STEM and co-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant Science subject specialism.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a passion for inspiring young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on responsibilities beyond teaching.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 5 or willingness to develop this skill.
  • Experience with curriculum development or leadership roles within a department.
  • Knowledge of STEM initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Experience working with diverse student groups.
