The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Science Technician to support the delivery of high-quality Science education. This role is essential in maintaining the practical and theoretical aspects of Chemistry lessons, ensuring that students have access to safe, well-prepared resources. The ideal candidate will be a flexible and enthusiastic team player, ready to contribute to a supportive and innovative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain lesson materials for practical and theory-based Chemistry lessons
• Ensure the proper storage, safety, and availability of chemicals and consumables
• Maintain and manage basic equipment and supplies
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of laboratory equipment for experiments
• Carry out administrative tasks related to the Science department
• Support the teaching team by providing technical assistance during lessons
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Science department
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Science resources and practices

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience in a science-related role or laboratory environment
• Ability to prepare and manage chemicals and equipment safely
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Flexibility to work term time only and start at 8am

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or educational setting
• Knowledge of Chemistry and practical Science teaching
• Experience with health and safety protocols in a laboratory environment
