Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Science Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a science curriculum that reflects current educational developments and best practices.
- Inspire and motivate students, fostering a passion for science and encouraging high achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
- Provide professional guidance and support to science teachers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
- Work closely with parents and students to ensure a shared commitment to student success and progress.
- Stay up to date with curriculum changes and integrate them effectively into teaching and assessment.
- Contribute to the school’s strategic goals and support the development of the Science Faculty.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching Science at a high level.
- A strong track record in leading and managing a Science department.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to raising student achievement and inspiring young people.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with modern pedagogical approaches and technologies.
- Experience with extracurricular science activities and STEM initiatives.
- Background in professional development and leadership training.
