The Opportunity:

As the Head of Science, you will lead and inspire students through innovative science education. This is a unique opportunity to influence and elevate the quality of science teaching and learning, shaping the future of young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Science Faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement a science curriculum that reflects current educational developments and best practices.
  • Inspire and motivate students, fostering a passion for science and encouraging high achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school to support whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
  • Provide professional guidance and support to science teachers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Work closely with parents and students to ensure a shared commitment to student success and progress.
  • Stay up to date with curriculum changes and integrate them effectively into teaching and assessment.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic goals and support the development of the Science Faculty.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Science at a high level.
  • A strong track record in leading and managing a Science department.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to raising student achievement and inspiring young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with modern pedagogical approaches and technologies.
  • Experience with extracurricular science activities and STEM initiatives.
  • Background in professional development and leadership training.
