Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science teaching across Year 9 to Year 13 with a focus on Physics.
  • Inspire students to develop strong scientific knowledge and applied problem-solving skills.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment that supports student wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with industry partners on real-life projects to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Support the school’s integrated engineering curriculum and contribute to the development of technical and engineering pathways.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of the National Curriculum and STEM principles.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 5 A*-C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE including English and Maths.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience and working knowledge of Science in the National Curriculum.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its relevance to UTCs.

Preferred

  • Specialism in Physics to support technical and engineering pathways.
  • Experience in teaching within a UTC or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate industry-standard practices into teaching.
