The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to join its well-resourced faculty. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Social Sciences lessons that engage and challenge students across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student achievement and progression.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Social Sciences curriculum and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Support the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care when appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Social Sciences.
- Experience teaching at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that promote student engagement.
- Experience with CPD and a willingness to take on leadership or mentoring roles.
- Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in Social Sciences education.
