The Opportunity:
As a Digital Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality instruction in Computer Science and Electronics, helping students develop essential digital and computational skills. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Year 9, Key Stages 4 and 5, ensuring excellent student outcomes.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment with a strong focus on student wellbeing.
- Support the school's vision by integrating digital and engineering skills into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with industry partners on real-life projects to enhance student learning.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Stay up to date with developments in Digital and Computer Science education.
- Encourage student confidence and prepare them for future careers in engineering and technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 5 A*-C (or 9-4) grades at GCSE, including English and Maths.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Working knowledge of Digital, Computer Science, and Electronics within the National Curriculum.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Sound knowledge of STEM and Engineering Curriculum and its importance in a UTC setting.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Digital subjects within a UTC or similar environment.
- Experience with industry collaboration or real-world project-based learning.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and digital technologies.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
