The Opportunity:
As the Head’s PA and Junior School Secretary, you will provide essential administrative and pastoral support to the Head of Junior School and the Stable Court office. This is a dynamic and impactful role that ensures the smooth operation of the Junior School and supports the needs of students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Head of Junior School’s diary, correspondence, and meeting arrangements
- Coordinate staff briefings and training logistics
- Welcome visitors with professionalism and warmth
- Oversee attendance processes and collaborate with pastoral staff
- Coordinate academic reporting, parents’ evenings, and MIS updates
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, staff, and the school community
- Support event planning, trips, and after-school arrangements
- Maintain records, medical information, and compliance checks
- Assist with admissions, student induction, and transition to Senior School
- Produce regular communications to parents, including celebratory newsletters
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative experience, particularly in a school environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in IT, including MS Office and database systems
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
- Discreet and reliable with a commitment to the school’s ethos and values
Preferred
- Experience in a senior school or pastoral role
- Familiarity with school management systems
- Experience with event coordination and logistics
- Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures
- Experience with admissions and transition processes
