The Opportunity:
As a Music and Creative Arts Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and creative lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students aged 11–19. This is a unique opportunity to shape a dynamic curriculum and contribute to meaningful educational outcomes for students with a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Music and Creative Arts lessons across KS3–KS5, tailored to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Design and implement practical, hands-on learning experiences that foster creativity and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external agencies to deliver a holistic and inclusive approach to teaching.
- Track and report on student progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and ensuring individual needs are met.
- Participate in enrichment activities, creative projects, and whole-school events to enhance the student experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified with PGCE/QTS or equivalent (ECTs welcome).
- Experience in teaching Music and one or more creative or digital subjects.
- Ability to plan, differentiate, and adapt lessons for a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
- Committed to inclusive and trauma-informed teaching practices.
Preferred
- Experience with digital tools and a willingness to develop new skills.
- Involvement in enrichment activities, creative projects, or off-site learning opportunities.
- Familiarity with accreditation pathways such as BTEC or similar qualifications.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary up to £44,000 per annum.
