The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Psychology Subject Leader to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to lead curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and inspire students. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of Psychology education at the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the Psychology curriculum for the Sixth Form.
- Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons up to A-level.
- Mentor and support teaching colleagues within the department.
- Drive student success through effective teaching and assessment strategies.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to shape departmental strategy.
- Provide expert guidance on assessment and feedback to ensure student progress.
- Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
- Contribute to the development of extracurricular activities related to Psychology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Psychology up to A-level.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a subject department.
- Strong commitment to student progress and academic success.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Ability to teach a second subject (essential).
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Criminology or related subjects.
- Experience with leading departmental initiatives or strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and teaching methodologies.
