Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Health and Social Care lessons to students at KS3 and KS4
  • Support the teaching of Sociology where required
  • Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student achievement and well-being
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure academic success
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and continue professional development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
  • Experience in teaching Health and Social Care or a related subject
  • Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4
  • Background in early career teacher development or mentoring
  • Experience with curriculum design and innovation
  • Familiarity with external partnerships and university collaboration
