Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Health and Social Care lessons to students at KS3 and KS4
- Support the teaching of Sociology where required
- Promote a positive learning environment that encourages student achievement and well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning
- Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to ensure academic success
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and guardians
- Stay up to date with industry developments and continue professional development
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge
- Experience in teaching Health and Social Care or a related subject
- Commitment to student welfare and inclusive education
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities
Preferred
- Experience teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4
- Background in early career teacher development or mentoring
- Experience with curriculum design and innovation
- Familiarity with external partnerships and university collaboration
