Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality maths lessons that inspire and challenge students
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and achievement
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement
  • Support the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and enhance the maths curriculum
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
  • Provide pastoral support to students where appropriate
  • Stay up to date with developments in maths education and pedagogy

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant maths subject knowledge
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at a secondary level
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods
  • Familiarity with exam requirements and assessment strategies
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities or maths-related clubs
