Key Responsibilities:
- Teach GCSE Maths across the full ability range, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.
- Contribute to departmental development and the implementation of innovative teaching strategies.
- Support students in developing a love of learning and a strong foundation in mathematical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and promote a culture of high aspirations.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and research-based teaching practices.
- Engage with students and families to support their academic and personal growth.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of KS3 science where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to inclusive education and the welfare of all students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching KS3 science.
- Familiarity with the Great Teaching Toolkit, IRIS Connect, or Walkthrus.
- Experience in professional development and collaboration with external educational partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to departmental initiatives.
