The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach GCSE Maths across the full ability range, ensuring high-quality instruction and student engagement.
  • Contribute to departmental development and the implementation of innovative teaching strategies.
  • Support students in developing a love of learning and a strong foundation in mathematical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and promote a culture of high aspirations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and research-based teaching practices.
  • Engage with students and families to support their academic and personal growth.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of KS3 science where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and the welfare of all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching KS3 science.
  • Familiarity with the Great Teaching Toolkit, IRIS Connect, or Walkthrus.
  • Experience in professional development and collaboration with external educational partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to departmental initiatives.
