Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and challenge students at all levels.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and cross-subject learning opportunities.
  • Support student learning through individualised feedback, assessment, and intervention where needed.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters curiosity and a love of learning.
  • Participate in whole-school initiatives, professional development, and training opportunities.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and STEM-related events.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Proven experience in Science teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to student progress and high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
  • Ability to teach across other creative subjects.
  • Experience with cross-developmental Trust work or national projects.
  • Experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
