Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers by planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups, or classes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, recording and reporting achievements regularly.
- Work closely with students in the Horizons Resource Provision, providing tailored support for those with communication and interaction needs.
- Implement national and foundation stage curriculum strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery of learning programs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant status or working towards this (Level 4).
- Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications or willingness to work towards them.
- Experience in implementing national and foundation stage curriculum and relevant learning strategies.
- Good understanding of child development and learning processes.
Preferred
- Experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with communication and interaction challenges.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
