The Opportunity:
As an HR & Compliance Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support across HR, recruitment, and compliance. You will ensure the school remains fully compliant with legislation and regulatory frameworks while supporting the success of students and staff. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized and committed to making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, and staff records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records across all areas of responsibility.
- Assist with the administration of assessments and staff performance reviews.
- Coordinate internal audits and compliance checks as required.
- Provide support for disciplinary and grievance procedures where necessary.
- Collaborate with senior staff to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and followed.
- Manage sensitive and time-critical information with discretion and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Knowledge of HR and compliance procedures within the education sector.
- Experience in a similar administrative or HR support role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with Ofsted and other regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of data protection and GDPR principles.
- Experience with recruitment and staff development processes.
- Computer literacy with experience using HR and compliance software.
