As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will help deliver engaging lessons, support students with diverse needs, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes
- Support teaching staff with assessment, feedback, and classroom organisation
- Use specialist skills to meet diverse pupil needs and promote inclusion
- Contribute to behaviour support, pupil wellbeing, and positive learning environments
- Lead and support Learning Support Assistants as part of the wider team
- Assist in the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to improve student outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Hold (or be working towards) Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status
- Experience in supporting learning and adapting activities to meet student needs
- Strong communication skills with pupils, staff, and families
- Organised and proactive approach to work
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and student wellbeing
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
- Experience with assessment and feedback processes
- Leadership experience or the ability to lead and support others
