As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will help deliver engaging lessons, support students with diverse needs, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver learning activities for individuals, small groups, and whole classes
  • Support teaching staff with assessment, feedback, and classroom organisation
  • Use specialist skills to meet diverse pupil needs and promote inclusion
  • Contribute to behaviour support, pupil wellbeing, and positive learning environments
  • Lead and support Learning Support Assistants as part of the wider team
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and support
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to improve student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Hold (or be working towards) Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) status
  • Experience in supporting learning and adapting activities to meet student needs
  • Strong communication skills with pupils, staff, and families
  • Organised and proactive approach to work
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
  • Experience with assessment and feedback processes
  • Leadership experience or the ability to lead and support others
