The Opportunity:

As Executive Director of Primary Education, you will lead a team of Headteachers to drive school improvement and deliver exceptional outcomes for children. This role is central to shaping the future of primary education within a high-performing Multi-Academy Trust that values innovation, collaboration, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a team of Headteachers to deliver high-quality education and school improvement.
  • Influence and shape strategy across the primary phase of the Trust.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Trust Executive Team to define and implement the Trust’s vision.
  • Ensure a rich, inclusive and high-quality education for all children within the Trust.
  • Promote sustainable working practices and support staff wellbeing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning across all primary schools.
  • Implement and monitor the Trust-wide Workload Charter and other initiatives.
  • Support professional development for staff across the primary phase.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership within education, with a track record of sustained school improvement.
  • Strong strategic leadership and the ability to influence and develop leaders at all levels.
  • Experience in leading a multi-school environment or a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Strong moral purpose and commitment to improving life chances for young people.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in executive leadership within a Multi-Academy Trust.
  • Background in primary education leadership.
  • Knowledge of AI and data systems in education.
  • Experience in workload reduction and sustainable working practices.
