The Opportunity:

A part-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant role is available to support students in a dynamic and collaborative school setting. This temporary position offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive learning environment under the guidance of experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, preparation, and delivery of learning activities for individuals, groups, or short-term whole classes.
  • Assist in the assessment, marking, and reporting of student progress in line with agreed systems.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure the needs of all students are met.
  • Contribute to a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with supervising teachers.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as required.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience in a teaching or learning support role.
  • A commitment to working with children and supporting their educational development.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow school procedures.
  • Experience in delivering learning activities under supervision.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Knowledge of curriculum planning and assessment strategies.
  • Experience in a primary school setting.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
