The Opportunity:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students in both academic and personal development, working closely with teachers and staff to create a positive learning experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in accessing learning and managing emotional and behavioural needs
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing one-to-one support
- Help students develop confidence and resilience through structured and nurturing guidance
- Contribute to the creation of individual learning pathways tailored to student needs
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students
- Collaborate with staff to ensure consistent support and progress
- Participate in safeguarding and welfare training as required
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Commitment to supporting students with special educational needs and mental health challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community
- Resilience, patience, and adaptability in a challenging environment
- Willingness to go above and beyond to support students
Preferred
- Experience working in education, youth work, or a similar setting
- Previous experience supporting students with SEN or mental health needs
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and best practices
