The Opportunity:

A Higher Level Teaching Assistant is needed to support teaching staff and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential. This role involves working across the school, covering classes, and contributing to a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff by covering classes in the absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to pupils aged 3–11 years
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
  • Work closely with teaching staff to ensure pupils make good progress and achieve high standards
  • Promote inclusivity and support all children to reach their full potential
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school setting
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in taking responsibility for a whole class
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Confidence working with children of all ages
  • Commitment to high standards of attainment and achievement
  • Good understanding of the National Curriculum

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire pupils
