The Opportunity:

As a Maths Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students aged 11-19 in their mathematical development. You will contribute to a dynamic and successful department that consistently exceeds national average progress scores. Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach mathematics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including further mathematics and Level 3 mathematical studies.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that engage students and promote deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the mathematics curriculum and departmental practices.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized feedback and targeted interventions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and share best practices.
  • Participate in professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the well-being of all students.
  • Ensure the highest standards of pupil safety and safeguarding in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Experience teaching mathematics at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and the ability to teach further mathematics and Level 3 mathematical studies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred

  • Experience working within an academy trust or multi-academy trust.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovation in mathematics education.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting early career teachers.
  • Experience with data analysis and using pupil performance data to inform teaching practice.
