The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities faculty. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History lessons at KS3-5, ensuring engaging and challenging content for all students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and a deep understanding of History.
- Support students in achieving the highest academic standards through personalized learning and assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Humanities faculty to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral support.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Engage in professional development and continue to improve teaching practice.
- Promote inclusivity and ensure all students feel valued and supported in the classroom.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
- Proven experience in teaching History at KS3-5.
- Strong commitment to student achievement and inclusion.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching RE at KS3.
- Experience working with ECTs or in a multi-academy trust.
- Familiarity with the LaSWAP post-16 consortium.
- Demonstrated success in developing innovative teaching methods.
