The Opportunity:
As a Physics Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will support subject leaders and contribute to the academic and pastoral success of students in a close-knit, high-achieving school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons that develop students’ knowledge and understanding of Physics
- Support subject leaders in creating and maintaining effective schemes of work and lesson plans
- Monitor and report on student progress through internal and external assessments
- Work closely with the Head of Year to provide high-quality pastoral care and support
- Contribute to faculty and whole school development initiatives
- Undertake supervision duties before school, at break, after school, and at lunchtime
- Participate in continuous professional development sessions to enhance teaching and learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good undergraduate degree in Physics
- Commitment and passion for teaching
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage student behaviour effectively
- Digital competence to utilise technology in lesson delivery
Preferred
- Experience teaching Physics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5
- Experience in the independent school sector
- A proven track record of raising student achievement in Physics
