The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 3, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ learning and development. This is a dynamic and impactful position that allows you to contribute directly to the success of students in both classroom and one-on-one settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality instruction and managing classroom activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized learning plans for students.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with additional needs, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
  • Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with teaching staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the overall school community through active involvement in events and initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 in Teaching Assistant or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning strategies, and behavior management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an educational setting, particularly with children of all abilities.
  • Knowledge of literacy, numeracy, and science teaching methods.
  • Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and resources used in modern teaching environments.
