The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspirational History Teacher to join our dedicated team and contribute to the academic and personal growth of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a love of learning in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach KS3 and KS4 History across all age and ability ranges.
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Work closely with the Humanities Faculty and support the Head of Faculty in the development of the History department.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to raise achievement.
- Contribute to the life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History.
- Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
- Proven ability to raise student achievement and promote learning.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school federation or multi-academy trust.
- Leadership experience or willingness to take on a lead role in the History department.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
