The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspirational History Teacher to join our dedicated team and contribute to the academic and personal growth of students across Key Stages 3 and 4. As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a love of learning in our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach KS3 and KS4 History across all age and ability ranges.
  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students.
  • Work closely with the Humanities Faculty and support the Head of Faculty in the development of the History department.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support to raise achievement.
  • Contribute to the life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement and learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support continuous professional development.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History.
  • Experience teaching History at KS3 and KS4.
  • Proven ability to raise student achievement and promote learning.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school federation or multi-academy trust.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on a lead role in the History department.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
