The Opportunity:

As a History Teacher with Humanities, you will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that inspire students aged 11-18. You will contribute to curriculum development and help foster critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical events and humanities topics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
• Contribute to the development and review of the Humanities curriculum.
• Foster critical thinking and a deep understanding of historical events and humanities topics.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Social Sciences department.
• Support the personal and academic development of students through effective teaching and pastoral care.
• Use IT tools effectively to enhance classroom teaching and learning.
• Promote a culture of respect, integrity, inclusivity, and curiosity among students.
• Participate in professional development and training initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A strong interest in History and Humanities subjects.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage secondary school students effectively.
• Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
• Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team within the Social Sciences department.
• Basic IT skills relevant to classroom teaching.

Preferred

• Experience in teaching History at the secondary level.
• Experience with curriculum development and innovation.
• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Experience in pastoral care or student support.
