The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspirational Science Teacher to join a successful and innovative department committed to raising academic standards and nurturing a love of Science in students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage and inspire students across all key stages
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression
  • Support the spiritual and moral development of students in line with the school’s Catholic values
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Science department
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners reach their full potential
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and whole-school initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance
  • Encourage a love of Science beyond the classroom through extra-curricular activities and enrichment opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Science subject knowledge
  • Experience of teaching Science at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
  • Strong classroom management and pedagogical skills
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the holistic development of students
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive and innovative department

Preferred

  • Experience of working in a Multi-Academy Trust or similar educational setting
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
  • Experience of mentoring or leading professional development for colleagues
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
