The Opportunity:
A History Teacher is needed to join a newly opened and growing school with excellent facilities. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive and ambitious environment, contributing to a high-quality curriculum and student development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality History lessons to students aged 11–16.
- Work collaboratively with the Head of History and department colleagues to maintain and enhance curriculum standards.
- Contribute to the development of a vibrant extracurricular programme.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
- Participate in professional development and leadership opportunities across the trust.
- Engage in continuous improvement of teaching practices and student outcomes.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of cross-curricular projects.
- Stay up to date with curriculum changes and educational trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in History.
- Experience in teaching History at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for inspiring learners.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Experience teaching a second Humanity subject (Citizenship, Geography, or RE).
- Experience in Early Career Teacher development or leadership roles.
- Familiarity with the NSB Trust or similar educational institutions.
- Experience in extracurricular programme development or delivery.
