Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in History and Politics at both GCSE and A-Level.
  • Support student progression and achievement through effective lesson planning and assessment.
  • Contribute to the development of the curriculum and cross-subject teaching opportunities.
  • Participate in a structured training programme and ongoing professional development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive, inclusive and high-achieving school culture.
  • Engage in and contribute to the extra-curricular programme.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
  • Take on a TLR2B Head of Year role with opportunities for leadership and career progression.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in History and Politics.
  • Ability to teach GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.
  • Experience in a Catholic school setting is desirable.

Preferred

  • Experience in leadership or pastoral roles.
  • A second specialism in a related subject.
  • Experience with CPD and staff development.
  • Passion for student engagement and extra-curricular activities.
