The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher Trainee, you will begin a one-year initial teacher training course with the goal of permanent employment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your teaching skills and make a lasting impact on students' learning and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality English lessons to students aged 11-16
  • Work closely with an experienced mentor to develop teaching and classroom management skills
  • Participate in a bespoke initial teacher training development programme
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school
  • Gradually increase teaching responsibilities over the course of the year
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Engage in continuous professional development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong undergraduate degree
  • Commitment to completing a one-year initial teacher training course
  • Willingness to fund the course fees
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students

Preferred

  • Prior experience in education or related fields
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Demonstrated leadership or organisational skills
  • Experience in co-curricular or extra-curricular activities
