The Opportunity:

As an HR Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s HR processes and contributing to the management of staff across the entire employee lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on HR processes, including disciplinary, performance management, and attendance.
  • Manage safer recruitment practices and ensure compliance with employment legislation and data protection laws.
  • Oversee HR data reporting, absence management, and policy reviews.
  • Act as a key point of contact for HR-related queries and contribute to the development of HR strategy and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records using the school’s HR information system.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and line managers to drive continuous improvement in HR practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and data protection regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes including recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Proven ability to advise managers and support HR strategy development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.

Preferred

  • Experience with HR information systems and data analysis.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional HR qualification.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
