Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging and differentiated PE lessons tailored to individual student needs.
• Supporting students’ physical development through structured, safe, and inclusive environments.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants, clinical teams, and families to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress, including therapeutic and EHCP goals.
• Promoting positive behavior through proactive and relationship-based strategies.
• Maintaining and managing PE equipment to ensure safe and effective practice.
• Encouraging emotional wellbeing, independence, and personal development through physical activity.
• Building and maintaining community partnerships to enhance student experiences beyond the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with pupils with SEND, ideally in a specialist setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Calm, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting students.
• Good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.

Preferred

• Understanding of the PE curriculum and health and safety standards.
• Experience using visual supports and sensory-aware teaching strategies.
