The Opportunity:
As a School Administrator, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, flexible, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor multiple MIS systems for staff, students, and school operations, including data entry, permissions, and audits.
- Maintain and organize records and statistical data related to attendance, equipment, and resources.
- Take detailed minutes of meetings and follow up on action items.
- Develop templates, forms, and resources as requested by the Senior Leadership Team.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including organizing and facilitating interviews.
- Communicate effectively with parents, agencies, and staff while maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Coordinate and support events such as Careers Day, parents’ evenings, and open days.
- Provide general administrative support, including reception duties, email management, and visitor coordination.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint) and other database systems.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Discreet and reliable with a strong sense of confidentiality.
Preferred
- Experience in a special needs or SEND environment.
- Knowledge of educational policies and procedures.
- Experience with event coordination or marketing initiatives.
- Familiarity with MIS systems and data management.
