The Opportunity:

As an HR Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and HR support to the Director of HR, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with employment legislation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of HR with day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff members.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal HR policies.
  • Provide proactive support in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support staff development and engagement.
  • Assist with payroll and employee-related queries as required.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a positive staff experience across the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and office applications.

Preferred

  • Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems.
  • Experience with managing employee records and documentation.
  • Understanding of school policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility to work term-time only and across five days per week.
