As an HR Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and HR support to the Director of HR, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with employment legislation. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Director of HR with day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks.
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff members.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal HR policies.
- Provide proactive support in the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support staff development and engagement.
- Assist with payroll and employee-related queries as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of a positive staff experience across the school.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in an HR or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using HR software and office applications.
Preferred
- Experience in recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Familiarity with payroll systems.
- Experience with managing employee records and documentation.
- Understanding of school policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work term-time only and across five days per week.
