Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Humanities that inspire and challenge students.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and promote a shared vision for teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral support.
- Support student well-being and behaviour, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching practice.
- Work closely with the Director of Humanities to ensure alignment with school goals and standards.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography, History, and related areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage a classroom with high standards of behaviour.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading curriculum innovation.
- Previous experience in a school undergoing significant change or improvement.
- Experience with inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
- Familiarity with British Values and their integration into the curriculum.
