Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver interactive and engaging lessons that inspire students and promote a deep understanding of Computer Science.
- Support the strategic development of the Computer Science curriculum across the school.
- Ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and examination performance in Computer Science.
- Implement effective classroom management and teaching strategies to enhance student outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and develop innovative teaching approaches.
- Contribute to the holistic development of students by promoting well-being and personal growth.
- Take an active role in the professional development of the department and wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments to monitor student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Computer Science and IT at KS3, 4, and 5.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
- Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and holistic development.
- Experience in contributing to curriculum development and strategic planning.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Experience in working within an academy trust or multi-academy trust.
- Experience in leading or supporting staff development initiatives.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies in Computer Science.
