Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging maths lessons that challenge and inspire students
  • Lead and support a team of maths teachers, providing professional guidance and mentorship
  • Plan and implement a well-sequenced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
  • Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching across the key stage
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities, including staff development and curriculum planning
  • Ensure the highest standards of behaviour, attendance, and student outcomes

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
  • Experience of leading a team or department
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and leadership
  • Familiarity with data-driven teaching and assessment
  • Experience with collaborative planning and cross-key stage working
  • Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
