Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging maths lessons that challenge and inspire students
- Lead and support a team of maths teachers, providing professional guidance and mentorship
- Plan and implement a well-sequenced curriculum that meets the needs of all learners
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching across the key stage
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement
- Fulfil wider professional responsibilities, including staff development and curriculum planning
- Ensure the highest standards of behaviour, attendance, and student outcomes
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with QTS and relevant teaching experience
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
- Experience of leading a team or department
- Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
- Commitment to student progress and achievement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and leadership
- Familiarity with data-driven teaching and assessment
- Experience with collaborative planning and cross-key stage working
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
