The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate Humanities Teacher to deliver impactful Geography and History lessons within the Cambridge International Curriculum. This role offers the chance to inspire critical thinking, foster global awareness, and shape the next generation of leaders and changemakers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Geography and History, including related social sciences, in line with Cambridge International standards.
  • Deliver student-led, enquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking and global citizenship.
  • Prepare students for Checkpoint, IGCSE, and A-level examinations with focused instruction and exam readiness.
  • Use diverse teaching strategies such as debates, simulations, and fieldwork to enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Integrate digital tools and current affairs into lessons to deepen real-world relevance.
  • Design and adapt lesson plans aligned with Cambridge standards and school priorities.
  • Mentor students in academic and extracurricular activities such as Geography Club and Debate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or related disciplines.
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
  • Cambridge International training in Checkpoint, IGCSE, or A-level.
  • 2–3 years of teaching experience in Cambridge, IB, or similar international curriculum schools.
  • Experience preparing students for external assessments in Humanities.

Preferred

  • Experience with cross-curricular collaboration and project-based learning.
  • Strong use of digital learning tools and research platforms.
  • Background in student mentorship and extracurricular leadership.
